To address the educational challenges within Nigeria, GLP Cares Foundation – a Non-Governmental Organisation, was set up to give young Nigerians “another chance at prosperity”; by establishing an educational facility that provides educational support to underprivileged youths at no cost; in line with our vision, mission and core values. On Thursday, 22nd November 2018, eleven (11) scholars from the GLP Cares Foundation matriculated from Babcock University. Currently, we have a total of thirty-two students enrolled in different public and private universities across Nigeria and over ten (10) pupils in the foundation secondary school. The aim is to expose the pupils to a solid tutelage programme which will launch them to higher institutions of learning.

The foundation has recently put in place a strategy where on graduation, every student will be required to give back to the society by signing up as a Fellow for The Teach for Nigeria (TFN) Fellowship Programme. The TFN Fellowship Programme is a transformational leadership programme, focused on developing a movement of leaders across the nation who are committed to putting an end to educational inequity. TFN equips Fellows with transferrable leadership skills to effect change beyond the classrooms in the communities served.

The Managing Partner of GLP – Ladi Delano is an ambassador of TFN and through our relationship with TFN, GLP Cares Foundation has built and donated four (4) public toilets at Makoko.
